Richard David Jones was born in Utica on February 27, 1943. He attended Sacred Heart school and UCA. After graduation in 1960, he enlisted in the Navy where he was an Electronics Technician Chief. He worked with NASA on the satellite shots. He married his wife, Bertha, in August of 1977 and had two step-children, Michael and Matthew. He enjoyed playing softball and was a big fan of the Yankees and Giants. He passed away on December 27, 1978.
